Built by hand, kept by faith
Iron Lace began with a twenty-year friendship and a shared dream — that a good book, a quiet chair, and a word of grace can meet a person right where they are.
Best friends for more than two decades, Laurie Bowen Jacobs — a former United States Marine and mother of five — and Tiffany Addis Murr had long dreamed of opening a bookstore together. When a beloved Anderson bookshop closed its doors after 47 years, they knew the time had come — and on December 1, 2021, Iron Lace opened its own. The warm framework around you was built by hand from reclaimed and burnt-finish timber, beam by beam, with the same patience they bring to every reader who wanders in.
Inside you'll find aisles of gently-loved books at half the cover price, faith and fiction shoulder to shoulder. Bring in your own gently-used paperbacks and we'll credit you a quarter of the cover price in store credit — good toward up to half of any purchase. Pull up a chair, and stay awhile.
